Bienvenidos a otro año más en la escuela Lincoln.

Welcome to another school year at Lincoln school.

My name is Mrs. Jacoby, I am one of the two FLES (Foreign Language in the Elementary School) Spanish teachers at Lincoln. I am very proud to be part of the wonderful Lincoln community and I am very excited to be the teacher of your child this school year.

I am originally from Trujillo, Peru and I have been in the United States since 2000. I started teaching in Oak Park in 2003 and I am very excited to be able to continue working for this wonderful community of eager learners.

I have a Bachelor in Education from Peru and I specialized in teaching Foreign Language. I speak English, French and a little Italian. I obtained my Master degree in education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I also have an ESL and Spanish endorsement. I obtained my National Board Certification in World Languages on December, 2018.

During FLES, students will be exposed to Spanish, not only the language but also the culture of various Spanish-speaking countries. During class, students will be encouraged, challenged and motivated to learn Spanish having a good time, playing games, singing songs, dancing, telling stories, having access to technology, and more.
